What You’ll Get To Do
Work as an integral part of an Agile Scrum team, specializing in cybersecurity, designing, developing and implementing custom cybersecurity capabilities to support automation, verification, and validation of application development code in a DevSecOps pipeline.
Are You Interested In
- Working collaboratively with software developers/engineers, cybersecurity analysts, stakeholders, and end users within Agile processes
- Designing, developing, implementing, and documenting custom scripts, software and database application capabilities for a variety of Department of Defense and industry best practice security checks and software code assessments
- Coordinating with Cybersecurity SMEs to identify requirements and process improvements
- Assisting cybersecurity assessors as required
- Interpreting DISA STIG requirements
- Acts as a member of a team, supporting teammates and collaborating with a do what it takes attitude to ensure product and team success
- Actively participate in release and sprint planning, artifact creation, sprint testing, regression testing, demonstrations and retrospectives and solution releases
- Analyzing complex project-related problems and creating innovative solutions involving, scheduling, technology, methodology, tools and solution components
- Ensuring product quality and timeliness of work, providing advice and guidance, resolving problems to meet objectives, and providing periodic performance reports
- Provide input on best practices and procedures
- Developing new and refining existing process to enhance quality and productivity
Required Skills
- College degree (B.S.) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management Systems or a related discipline
- Prior experience or internship related to cybersecurity or Software Development
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with at least an interim DOD Secret clearance or higher
- Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts and tools including DISA STIGs, SCAP, SCC Tool
- Familiarity with any of the following: MVC, Entity Framework (or other ORM), JavaScript, XML, JSON, Web API, and PowerShell
- Ability to innovate with cutting edge tools and technologies, creating new ways to automate cyber-security tasks
- Experience with source code control systems and concurrent development workflows (Git preferred)
- Basic understanding of all elements of the software development life cycle, including planning, development, requirements management, CM, quality assurance, and release management
- Highly responsible, team-oriented individual with very strong work ethic and a self-starter
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desired Skills
- DOD 8570 certification at IAT Level 2 (CCNA Security, CySA+ {formerly CSA+}, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP)
- Ability to apply principles, theories, and concepts, and contribute to the development of innovative principles and ideas
- Familiarity with Oracle or PostGresSQL databases
- Familiarity with Docker containers and Kubernetes container orchestration system for Docker containers
- Familiarity with object-oriented design and development
- Familiarity with .NET languages a plus
