Job summary
Inviting ingenuous builders to be founding members of this team that will craft several new products of strategic importance to Amazon. We are seeking self-motivated, innovative and result-oriented Software Development Engineers to build and own software systems and products for this new initiative. You will partner with Principals and Senior Engineers to build a new Stack and several independent products on top of it. You will have an opportunity to dream up not just the technology architecture but also how Indian businesses of various sizes and capabilities run their business.
This role requires deep technical expertise, excellent leadership principles and ability to hit the ground running. You will be responsible for solving algorithmically complex problems, front end and backend services that can scale to millions of requests and deployed globally delivering an exceptional customer experience. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science
- Proven track record of building large-scale, highly available, low latency, high quality distributed systems and software products
- Great problem solving skills and propensity to learn and develop tech talent
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline.
- Previous experience in designing low latency services.
- Good understanding of AWS services such as EC2, S3, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, Lambda, API Gateway, ECR, ECS, Lex etc.
- Experience in e-commerce and deep hands-on technical expertise
- Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional customer relationship skills including the ability to discover the true requirements underlying feature requests, recommend alternative technical and business approaches.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
