Automated Data Collection Specialist - Richmond, United States

As a CoStar ADC Specialist l you will be responsible for creating programs for the collection of data from Broker websites and store locators. In addition, you will analyze and report on the data collected.


Responsibilities

  • Design and author scripts to collect and parse data from a variety of sources using a diverse set of technologies, including – but not limited to – Python, JavaScript, schema-less storage, and AWS technologies.
  • Audit data obtained from automation for quality and accuracy and correct identified issues using modern database technologies.
  • Collaborate with team members to proactively monitor and audit established team processes and workflows to identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Work closely with business leadership and stakeholders to identify requirements for current data automation processes and future automation opportunities both from publicly-available data sources and third-party vendors and partners.
  • Develop and maintain automated processes for enabling insight into wider team throughput and performance using a variety of framework and technologies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • One or more years of experience in web development (JavaScript and HTML)
  • One or more years of experience in SQL
  • One or more years of experience in the data format of JSON, XML and CSV and their application in different contexts

Experience & Skills
  • Demonstrable skill in analytical, critical, and logical thinking, as well as the ability to learn and apply abstract concepts.
  • Organized self-starter, results-driven, and effective at prioritizing and managing multiple initiatives concurrently.
  • Capable of working both independently and in a highly-collaborative setting.
  • An active and passionate interest in expanding upon the above-mentioned technologies and skill sets.
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing situations at a high growth company.
